The highest altitude on our menu, this coffee was grown between 2,200-2,350 MASL, and has sweet, floral notes of peach, strawberry, & red flowers. [pictured: Small, dense cherries still green due to cool conditions]

Ture Waji and Mike Mamo purchase fresh cherry from local producers and process at their drying station on raised beds [pictured] or wet mill. In Ethiopia, 90% of coffee growers operate on small farms.

Fazenda Recreio is an elegant, naturally-processed coffee produced on a five-generation family farm in São Sebastião da Grama in Brazil’s “Grass Valley.” In the past 10 years, they’ve won or finaled in the “Cup of Excellence” Awards consistently.

The Recreio Farm has been operating since 1890 and is managed by Diogo Dias Teixeira de Macedo [pictured here], whose parents own the farm. This rich blend of 8 varieties tastes like chocolate pudding, pecan, and cherry.

Mujeres Norte Huila was grown at ~1,600 MASL, picked at peak ripeness, and depulped, washed, and fermented for 24-60 hours, then dried for 7-15 days in marquesinas. It’s perfect for espresso brewing or filter preparation. [pictured: Sara Díaz de Rodríguez]

Isabela Marcos Gaspar is a 73-year old small farmer in Concepción Huista, Guatemala, and one of the most prolific repeat producers on the Dispatch menu. We’re ecstatic to bring her coffee back.

She lives in the town of Concepcion Huista and her organic-certified farm, founded in 1991, is about 1.5 hour away on foot.

During the harvest season in spring, she stays in a humble Chakra (farmhouse). This is a Chakra in the surrounding area, provided by our import partners’ Atlas Coffee, in absence of an image of Isabela’s this year!

This naturally sweet and creamy microlot blend of Caturra, Pache Verde, Bourbon, Catuaí, and Anacafé 14 tastes of nectarine, lime and rose. Capture the complexity and high notes of her coffee through paper filter method, like Chemex.

Arcoíris (“rainbow”) is a decaffeinated regional blend grown and washed on 5 small farms across 5 different municipalities in Huila and Tolima, Colombia’s “Coffee Axis” at ~ 1700 MASL.

It’s sweet and well-balanced — perfect for espresso brewing or filter preparation — with flavours of chocolate wafer, poppyseed cake, and nougat in the cup.

The beans were decaffeinated at Descafecol by natural “Sugarcane process.” Bogotá-based exporter Azahar facilitated the lot, with help from Covoya Specialty Coffees in Rhode Island, from whom we bought 8x 70kg bags.

Just like a rainbow, this lot is composed of a multicolored mix of Caturra and Colombia varieties, grown in different microclimates and designed to be resistant to coffee leaf rust while yielding hearty harvests.

We’re excited about this decaf blend, and proud of the work of our partners, Azahar, who both work to secure better prices for small farmers, also roast and serve local specialty coffee at their own two Bogotá cafés.

Luciano + Pascual

Luciano Gomez and Pascual Cardona are two certified organic small coffee farmers in Concepción Huista, a mountainous municipality in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala.

This micro-lot blend of Caturra, Bourbon, Catimor, and Pache well-encapsulates the region’s prolific “Hue hue” taste profile, balancing chocolatey sweetness and bright, citrusy fruit notes.

In the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes, the distinct “tropical highland” biomes result from clashing cool air at elevation and warmer currents blowing from the Gulf of Mexico. The region’s porous clay soil is also rich in nutrients.

Both producers are native speakers of the Mayan-branch language, Popti' (aka Jakalteko), and are members of the Fair Trade CODECH cooperative, representing ~500 local Mayan-descendent farmers.

Despite running into Trump’s import tariffs for the first time, we were able to buy 15 69kg parchment bags of this washed and sun-dried organic microlot from Luciano and Pascual via Atlas Coffee Importers.

Antonia Fuentes is a smallholder farmer based in Oaxaca, Mexico, who uses natural production methods.

This lot of 100% Typica represents Antonia’s first-ever North American export. It's washed, processed on-farm, and tastes like stewed mango, marzipan, and custard.

With ancestral origins dating back to Yemen, Typica is one of the oldest cultivated coffee lines in the Arabica variety.

The Fuentes family works their 6-hectare farmland in Oaxaca’s Sierra Sur region using intergenerationally inherited traditional methods.
